Sharon Webster is an interdisciplinary artist in Burlington, Vermont whose work moves through different materials, including language, to explore and create fresh renditions of personal vision and voice. Drawn to the intimate and the sensual, she is a frequent exhibitor and poet in Vermont and elsewhere.

Sharon’s book of poems and art, Everyone Lives Here, was published in 2014 by Fomite Press. A new poetry collection, O SONG, will be published in 2024 by Salmon Poetry in Ireland, distributed in the U.S. & Ireland.

Webster taught Studio Art, “Word and Image,” Independent Studies and writing at Burlington College and Community College of Vermont for a decade. She was Assistant Director and Case Manager at Home Base, Inc, a non-profit org that cares for developmentally challenged adults since the 1980’s. Sharon brought a wholistic, humanities-based approach to her relationships there (continuing today), helping them live rich, normal lives.

She grew up in a small, colorful river town in Kentucky (Carrollton). Webster lives and works in Burlington, Vermont.

"...the mixed media constructions of Sharon Webster are exhilaratingly abstract and surreal, yet poignantly expressive.  She creates meaningful images of the world as seen from within, with the mind's eye.  Her amazing constructions are magically mysterious and thought-provoking, while at the same time aesthetically attractive objects in their own right."
